The Sales Manager will manage & motivate a current team of individual contributors (ICs). The ultimate goal of the Manager is to achieve team and individual quotas. The qualified candidate must be able to measure, monitor and hold ICs accountable for their activities and results. This person will work directly with ICs to improve their entire sales process including, but not limited to prospecting, qualifying, time management, competitive positioning, organizational management and closing skills. This position will work with, and report to the Chief Revenue Officer, to increase efficiencies and processes within the department.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage & motivate a team of Account Executives (AEs) to achieve team and individual quotas.
- Manage to both new business and net retention goals
- Measure, monitor and hold AEs accountable for their activities and results as well as lead by example.
- Work directly with AEs to improve all aspects of their GTM and AM skills.
- Work with the Chief Revenue Officer to increase efficiencies and processes within the department.
- Mentor each AE individually while also building a strong, cohesive, collaborative team.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales management experience with specific experience in software/SaaS AND 3+ years prior experience in a quota-carrying individual contributor role.
- Quota-attainment record of meeting and/or exceeding targets by managing process for identifying, qualifying, & closing new business as well as and not limited to growing an existing install base.
- Track record of building, coaching and enabling a rapidly growing team
- Capacity to work on and lead cross-functional projects and teams as needed as well as leverage internal resources to problem-solve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent reporting (CRM) and forecasting skills.
- Proficient technology/software skills, specifically in Salesforce, Outreach, G-Suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Hubspot preferred.
